Description |
1952 Willy's Aero built by famed drag racer Herman The Northwest Terror Petersen for personal use.
Not raced, slightly used as a street rod.
Equipped with 750 hp 'Cackle Thunder Performance' engine built by Herman Pertersen. Crower roller Radical cam, Bob McCray Performance heads, Hillborne electronic fuel injection with an Enderle hat, Hampton 871 blower.
The unibody frame is highly modified 3/16 inch angle iron and flat bar from front to back. Front suspension has a Magnum 4 dropped axle with Ford spindles. Willwood 11 inch brakes and Monroe shocks.
Rear suspension has stock springs, homemade hangers, blocks, and shackles with 11 inch Willwood brakes and Monroe shocks.
Engine details; 1957 Chrysler 398 Hemi, bored .030 over. iron heads, by Bob McCray, Crower roller cam, Arias 7.8:1 pistons, Weiand blower manifold, eight percent under driven Hampton 871 blower topped off with Hillborne electronic fuel injection and an Enderle hat, MSD 6BTM boost retard. Also Stan's two inch headers and collector boxes by Jerry King going into three inch pipe with Flowmasters.
Engine dress up includes polished early Donovan valve covers, Carbon fiber dipped Enderle hat, and mirror finished stainless steel trim on the fire wall.
Transmission is a GM Turbo 400 with an A-1 ten inch 2800 stall converter mated to a 9 inch Ford with 3.75:1 Yukon gears with positraction with Dutchman axles.
Wheels and tires are Crager SS 15x4 fronts and 15x12 rears with M/T's and Classic 165/80 R15 fronts.
Orange Pearl paint on a completely rust free car, with a1953 one piece windshield, half hood designed by the owner to highlight the blown 392, hidden wires and polished stainless.Chrome front bumper and rear weight bar made of hospital grade stainless steel pipe.
Interior; aftermarket bucket seats covered in black leatherette and Suburban console, Autometer full gauge set, tilt column, ebrake, Kenwood stereo, and an eight point 4130 chromemoly roll cage.
